Unable to move Family Premium from UK to Singapore

Plan

Premium Family

Country

My Question or Issue

I have moved from UK to Singapore - trying to shift region and billing, but it tells me I am ineligible for Premium Family (but does show the price).
Any suggestions?

Hey @samsandiford,

Thanks for getting back.

Just to clarify, when an account moves to Spotify’s Free plan, all playlists and saved music stay intact—you just won’t have Premium features until you resubscribe (as mentioned in the support article I linked above). This applies to all members of a Premium Family plan, except for any Spotify Kids profiles, which would be deleted if the plan ends.

Since you’re only canceling to stop the auto-renewal and update your payment method, there’s nothing to worry about. As long as your plan hasn’t actually ended, you can resubscribe at any time without losing any Spotify Kids profiles.

Let me know if you have any other questions 🙂

Hey @samsandiford,

Thanks for coming to the Community.

Can you please cancel your current subscription and then try it again? 🙂

If I cancel the subscription will be able to keep everything including Child accounts?
I worry that cancel will nuke my history and lose the family accounts

So, payment is cancelled, now I can't update payment method (first step to changing country) and if I try to sign up, I only get the option to renew in the UK.
Do I need to wait until the plan expires?  So will I lose Kids profile as I was worried about unless I resubscribe in UK?

Hey @samsandiford,

Thanks for getting back.

You should be able to update your payment method by going to your account page and selecting Update card/payment method. Just make sure that Singapore is selected below the list of payment methods before proceeding and selecting a payment method.

That said, if your account’s country setting remains in the UK while you’re living in Singapore, you’ll likely run into issues sooner or later. Spotify can’t guarantee that your plan will work as expected under these conditions, so it’s best to get everything aligned.

Also, just a heads-up—if your subscription expires, any Spotify Kids profiles on your Premium Family plan will be deleted, and they can’t be recovered.

Hope that helps! Let me know if you have any questions. 🙂

Just had to wait for a few hours, now all good, thank you!
