how do i find the email registered to my son's account in family plan?

Solved!

how do i find the email registered to my son's account in family plan?

I have a family plan. My son (12) has an account - not a kids one. I can't remember what we did when we signed him up on his iphone. He now has a new phone and wants to login into his spotify account, however neither of us have any idea what email address we used etc, and none of this info is in my account settings. It simply says the name of the family members - no other information. Can somebody help please?

Hey @Nujinho,

Thanks for reaching out!

Just to point out, Spotify accounts are intended for users aged 13 and above. For younger listeners, the Spotify Kids app is a better fit, as it’s designed specifically for kids and ensures a safe and tailored experience. You can learn more about it here.

That said, the Premium Family page doesn’t show sensitive info like email addresses or usernames for privacy reasons. If your son can’t remember his login details, he can follow the steps in this article to recover them. If he also needs to reset his password, the process is explained here.

Let me know if you need help with anything else 🙂

For what it's worth, as a parent, Spotify kids is really built for kids 7 and under. It doesn't work well for 8 and up especially if your kid is really into music. There's no shuffle for playlists, and the only way to get access to music they can't access is to create them a playlist and share it with their account (but only from one specific parent account). And if you're like the OP and gave your kid an account early (presumably with supervision), you can block explicit music but not podcasts, audiobooks, or their TikTok style content because none of that is tagged correctly to be blocked. Seems like a missed opportunity for Spotify, these are their future users! 🤷🏻‍♀️

Oh and lots of non- explicit music is missing from the kids app too, like a lot of Christmas songs as an example.

Thanks all. Have sorted now.

Totally agree on Spotify Kids - just for v young kids. Not 12yr olds. I want him to explore music, which he is, not be constrained to kiddy tunes
