2 pending payments after applying for student discount?

Hi,

I was trying to apply for the student discount on my phone, although didn’t have the required information. I was charged the pending payment at that time. 

I then tried to proceed with the student discount when I got home, and was charged the pending payment once again. I’m not sure if the original payment will be refunded. 

Also, if the documents supplied are deemed insuffient, I assume both payments will be refunded?

Paying too much isn't cool! Don't worry about the money, since the transaction is still on pending. This means that Spotify froze the money from your account, to see if you actually can pay the premium subscription. As soon as Spotify notices that you haven't finished signing up, they are going to unfreeze the money and you will be able to use it again.
