Cannot change country

Cannot change country

I have changed my Spotify premium payment to US credit card but I still cannot change the country to US (it does not show in the pulldown box). After changing country, I would like to change to student premium, but it doesn't allow me until I change the country in setting. I am stuck🙄 Any solution?

Thank you for reaching out to the Community. We moved your post from Chats to the help boards as its content fits better here.

 

When you change the payment details, all the info gets updated once the system takes the next charge and this is probably the reason why you couldn't change it. Keep in mind that when you change the payment method, the system will automatically update the country on your account, there's no need to change it manually.

 

However, if you want to apply for a Premium Student subscription, as another option; you can also cancel your current subscription, wait until the account reverts back to free and change the country by following the steps in this article.

 

Once you update the country, you can start the verification process to apply for the discount following the steps mentioned here.

 

In case the issue still persists, since we don't have access to users' account in the Community, we'd recommend contacting our Customer Support, so they can check your account and help you further.
