Discount for High school students

Discount for High school students

This morning I saw that there was a student deal for Spotify premium of $7.49. I'm a high school student so I thought I would be eligible for the deal. I put in my details, including my debit card details, and I was told that my account had not yet been charged. I was taken to a new page to confirm that I was a student, but when I typed in my school (Rosehill College) I was told that I was not eligible for the $7.49 deal. This afternoon I was looking at my transactions and I can see that $7.49 has been taken out of my account, even though I don't have Spotify premium. I want to know why I have been charged the $7.49 but don't have access to Spotify premium.

In this case, the charge should show on your statement as ‘pending’. This means your bank has put a temporary authorization on the funds, but no money has actually been taken because Spotify has not yet verified your student status.
