I paid but Spotify claims I didn't.

I paid but Spotify claims I didn't.

I have a student plan, and this month I got a banner in the app saying that my payment did not go through, and I need to update my payment method. I use a visa card to pay, so I checked my bank account and the money was removed. However, I'm still getting notifications saying that my account is going to be downgraded to the free version if I don't pay soon. What gives?

Thanks for reaching out. 

 

Check your receipts page and payment method and make sure that the payment was actually successful. If you can’t see the payment anywhere, then it was most likely unsuccessful, so just try again. If you were actually charged according to your payment method but the payment is not visible on the receipts, then consider checking if you have a second account, where you still have an active subscription. 

 

If you still cannot find the source of the payments, feel free to reach out to our support team, they can assist you further. Make sure to have all of your payment information on hand, as our team will need it to find the payments and verify you as the account owner.
