Trying to add student premium to my account and it keeps looping back to the same page.
Verified on SheerID; received email saying it was verified & clicked the link in the email. Spotify opens & shows my account logged in & I confirm that I want to apply it to that account. The next screen that opens is the /account/overview page that I linked above.
I press manage subscription menu button, opens page showing that I have a cancelled premium subscription & asks if I'd like to get the discount for the student premium *select get discount* and loops back to /account/overview page.
I also tried it through the premium subscription button at the top of that /account/overview page & it leads down a similar route of selecting Get Discount for student premium & goes back to the /account/overview page.
I tried it on mobile, incognito mobile, desktop, incognito desktop... both cellular and wifi. 😕

In order to keep investigating, let us know what payment method you're currently using, as well as what Premium plan you're currently on. Just make sure not to send any sensitive info such as payment details!

So I had the Student Premium discount until it expired and have been on the Premium Individual for a few months. I am still a student and am trying to get back on to the Student Discount plan. I re-verified with SheerID and was sent a confirmation email with a link to use the discount. When I log in on my desktop and phone, I see the option to claim the discount in my plans but when I select it, it just reloads to the home page of my account settings and never updates to the Student Plan, it also does not show any error message to indicate something is wrong. I am stuck in a loop of trying to claim the discount and being sent back to the setting's home page. I have tried using a regular browser and incognito and neither has solved the issue. I would really appreciate help with trying to resolve this.
Having the same problem here. Every time I click "get discount" or change plan to premium student I will always be back on my account page. I have tried to log in through the SheerID verification email or https://www.spotify.com/student/. Neither is working.
Thanks for the reply! Unfortunately, every time I try to activate the student discount, it sends me back to this menu. The plan does not change, and I still get billed for premium individual.

The team has made some changes backstage and things should now be up and running again. Make sure to close the current page and then open a new tab/page before giving it another shot.
You can also try using an incognito window in your browser or another device, should the issue persist.

Hi Maria! Unfortunately I’ve tried it a few more times, both incognito and regular, and opened new tabs and it is still not working. The same result happens where it loops back to the main settings home page without updating the plan.

It's possible that the student discount has already been applied to your account. You can check this by logging in on your account page. If it is, try changing the plan to Premium Student from the Manage your subscription section.
You can also open the link from the confirmation email in an incognito/private window, or with another browser/device.

I have tried different devices and browsers, and nothing is working. I get sent back to the same main menu with the normal individual premium plan applied.
The student discount has not been applied.. bug is still there.

This worked for me! (Used credit payment - not paypal).. I had a cancelled premium plan on my account.
This worked for me as well! Used a debit payment. I had a cancelled Premium Individual plan on my account before. Thank you!
I had the same issue. How I resolved it was by canceling my current premium plan first after I had verified as a student. After you verify then you can click on the student plan and start that subscription. Hope this helps!

Have you received the re-verification email from SheerID? If yes, follow the steps from it and then, when all is complete, open the link, shared here by @Ivelina.

If you haven't received an email from SheerID about the renewal of the student discount, then it's possible that you've reached the limit of 4 years. You can check your inbox for emails from SheerID if you haven't deleted them to double-check if you've been verified 4 times already.
You can also reach out to the SheerID Support Team and ask if you're eligible for re-verification.

Hi! I’ve tried everything suggested and nothing seems to work :(( I had the student plan and it keeps looping me back to the same page when I try to pay for it even when I go through email, and SheerID hasn’t sent me any emails since I first verified my account. Also when I try to pay it’ll bring me to the payment page for all the other plans except the student one! Any help please??
