Just got my account verified as a student account. However, when I tried subscribing to the Premium Student plan it says 'Sorry, you are not eligible for that plan. Here are some other ways to get Premium'.
Every form of payment method I clicked ends up getting the same notice. What is the issue with this?

Hey @wadyrvader,
Thanks for reaching out! There are a few common reasons might explain the error you’re seeing.
First, keep in mind that the Premium Student plan is available for a maximum of four years total, so you may be over that limit. Also, if you’re already part of another plan or are a Premium Family or Premium Duo plan owner, that would prevent you from switching to Premium Student and you’d have to cancel your current subscription and wait for it to end first.
Timing can also be a factor—signing up during holiday periods or before your term officially begins can sometimes lead to verification issues. If you’re studying abroad, be sure your Spotify account’s country or region setting matches the country where you’re studying, and that you’re using a payment method issued in that country.
If none of these apply, it’s possible there’s an issue on SheerID’s side. In that case, you can reach out to them directly using their contact form.
Let me know how it goes 🙂

I had an account already and was trying to switch to premium student. I completed SheerId and it said I was verified. I followed the link, selected the plan and it gives this error message:
Thank you for this. It seems to have worked when I canceled my current plan and then registered for a new one. Rather frustrating that it lets you get through all the steps of changing, but then says no without context. Also, when I opted to cancel, it still tried to get me to choose a different plan even thought that wouldn't work.
This response worked for me:

My Question or Issue
I tried renewing my student plan after I failed to pay for this month. I tried to update my payment and selected the student plan but whenever i tried checking out it sends me to a different page which says "Sorry, you are not eligible for that plan. Here are some other ways to get Premium." i checked my account and it's still verified and eligible for a student premium. Help me out.
