Premium Student Hulu Access

My Question or Issue

I upgraded to the Premium Student Plan, which includes free Hulu access. However, when I go to the active services page and click "start watching" (for Hulu), it takes me to a page where they show different Disney bundles to purchase. Therefore, I don't have free access to Hulu. What can I do to resolve this?

Hello!!

Not sure if this is relevant, but I'll add it anyway. I joined Spotify premium back in like 2017, and switched to the student plan, with Hulu, from 2018-2022 when I was in college. I never had an issue with my Hulu subscription, even after the student plan ended. I am aware that the plans are different now. I recently got accepted into grad school, so I switched back to my student account, with Hulu. 

However, when I tried to sign in on Hulu, I was told to sign up for a MyDisney account & it wouldn't let me use the email that was already associated with my Spotify premium. If my understanding is correct, the Spotify and Hulu accounts should be the same? I was always able to log into Hulu with my Spotify information. It does say on my Spotify account that I have access to Hulu, and that it has already been activated. 

Has anyone else had this issue? Am I missing something, or do I need to sign up for MyDisney? I don't want to be charged for anything that I am not explicitly signing up for.

Thanks for coming to the Community.

You should be able to activate Hulu on this page by selecting "Start watching". If the issue persists, please reach out to Hulu directly here.

@cmobops Keep in mind that you can only have the Premium Student for a maximum of 4 years in total. After those 4 years have passed, your subscription will change to Premium Individual + Hulu, which will let you keep the Hulu access.

@Maxim When I click the link to talk to Hulu directly, it's still prompting me to make a MyDisney account. Do I need to sign up for that to use Hulu through Spotify?

Hey @cmobops,

According to this article, MyDisney is the login method for The Walt Disney Family of Companies, which includes Hulu, since Hulu is owned by Disney.

Whatever free Hulu is included, is impossible to access. I have tried every link Spotify has and every link takes me to Hulu's subscription options page. 

I have gone to my Account, clicked the "Activate" button under Hulu.

Then when I go back to the Account page and click the "Start Watching" it takes me to Hulu's sign up page with no Spotify log in available.

I also tried https://signup.hulu.com/spotify but that also eventually just takes me back to the same Hulu sign-up page.

I already linked my hulu however I cannot use hulu to watch anything. I keeo getting the screen to purchase packs and stuff I though it was included with my student spotify premium membership
