Student Discount - Can't verify me

I'm currently attending a California State University and I have been for the past year. For some reason when I try to sign up for the student discount through my already existing account, it doesn't work. It says that it can't verify me for some reason? Is there a way around this? I have a student e-mail. Is the problem that I already have an existing account from back when I wasn't a student?

You can try manually verifying yourself as a student at https://spotify.sheerid.com.
