Student Premium Account but charged $10

My Question or Issue

 I have been on the student premium plan and have been paying $5 /mo. However, on October 15 Spotify charged me $10 out of the blue. I have always been on the student plan for a year now. Can someone please look into this?

Hey @chamillionaire Welcome to the Spotify Community!

Usually when they charge the full amount out of no where, it means that you might have not verified your account so i would recommend checking your verification date.

All student discount accounts have to verify every year that they are still a student at the univeristy that you have submitted. If you dont verify, then spotify assumes that you have graduated.

Yes so I already have verified (see screenshot below). But they now have charged me $10 for October. Is there a way to request a refund?
