Student credentials are already linked to another Spotify account

Hi,
I was wondering if anyone can help. I want to put my student discount on my own account to pay for premium but it says that my student credentials are already associated with another account. However this account belongs to my friend who cancelled her subscription where she was using my student credentials. But even though she's cancelled it, it is still saying that my uni credentials are already associated with another account and won't let me redeem the discount for my own spotify. What do I do ?

All you need to do is get in contact with Spotify support and their Accounts team can take a look backstage. The easiest way to contact them is by messaging SpotifyCares on Facebook or Twitter. They usually respond within 48 hours!
