Student discount and PayPal

Hi, I'm a Premium member and PayPal is a payment option, I use it.

Why can't students pay with PayPal??

Is there a way another person with a Premium account can pay (with PayPal) the bill for students?

Unfortunately, you can only subscribe to the Student Discount using the available payment methods. If the payment method you’d like to use isn’t being offered to you on the payment page, then it’s most likely not available at the moment.

Sure, it's not offered. But I would hope someone from Spotify would give a reason? Why not?

Is there no support available except from people from outside the company?

Right now, PayPal isn’t an available payment method for the student discount in your country. You can find a payment method that works for you by following the steps here.

As of payments via PayPal, yes, I've seen that the option for students in my country is missing.

But why?

As you can see in the many requests for PayPal payments for student accounts, a lot of people are asking themselves, why Spotify withholds a payment method to students it has already in place for non-students of the same country...
