Student discount verification

Student discount verification

I was not aware that there was an option for a student discount while I was setting up my father's spotify account. When I entered the information needed to see if I would be able to get the discount I saw it was applied to my father's account. I quickly canceled and redid the process on my account. I read before that someone had the same issue and was charged the full amount since her account did not get verified. To avoid that is there anything I can do?

Welcome to the Community 🙂

 

Unfortunately, you can't get your discount again in your account at this moment.

 

You are entitled to only one account with the student discount at a time, and that discount lasts for 12 months even if you cancel the subscription or close the account.

 

If you want to apply your student discount to another account, you need to wait until 12 months have elapsed since you first signed up for it on your current account.

Thank you for the fast response. I was actually able to chat to support
online through Spotify and he was able to move the discount from my
father’s account to mine. Maybe that was how it was before but now they can
definitely help now!
