Student subscription has been active for 5 months and I've just started being charged £9.99 again?

Student subscription has been active for 5 months and I've just started being charged £9.99 again?

My student subscription has only been active for 5 months- I know after 12 months you get emailed asking you to renew your subscription but this obviously hasn't been the case. Instead this month they just decided to take £9.99 instead of half price and my subscription says "premium" not student? How do I get this sorted out as I don't want to cancel the payment and then pay an extra £4.99 to have it renewed as that will be £15 for one month- and is this going to happen again?

Is there anyway I can contact Spotify about the issue instead of having to ask on here to the community?

Looks like our Support team will need to take a look at your account to see exactly what happened with the discount.

 

Don't worry, they'll be able to help you have it back up and running as soon as possible, and you won't be charged twice.
