Was charged twice upon trying student discount

Was charged twice upon trying student discount

I am on the process of subscribing on student discount. Upon entering my payment details, I was charged right off the bat even though spotify said that i still need to submit 3 documents. I cancelled it and tried again and was charged for the second time. Since this is requires too much work, i decided to cancel. I did not get my premium and I was charged twice! Can anyone help me get to spotify coz this is so annoying!

Hey @user-removed,

Great to hear you are wanting to join Spotify Premium, however, I am sorry you have been having issues with your Spotify.

Please could you login to your account overview (https://www.spotify.com/account/overview/).

Then, click on 'Receitps' on the right hand collum, what do you see there?

Please note, Spotify can take up to 24 hours for the account to be updated to Premium.

Also, regarding the double charge, this should of prepaid for 2 months now, however, we can check that shortly for you 🙂

Hey @user-removed

No matter if student verification was successful or failed, a temporary charge goes through. These are only temporary charges on your credit card and they should disappear in a few days. The only charge that you actually have to pay for is if you were successfully verified for the student discount.

If you're having trouble signing up for the student discount, you can submit for manual verification (as a head's up, this can take up to 12 hours to process). For more info, check out Spotify Support and SheerID FAQs. If your school is not listed, you can submit this feedback form to SheerID.
