My Question or Issue

1 Dec I signed up for 90 day trial of Premium for 99p (UK). However it says my subscription will renew on 3.1.19 when I will be charged £9.99. In Uk, that date is  3rd January which is not 90 days ! 

What is the story ?

If you have any concerns or looking for answer on why this messege was sent and infrom the right factors for preventing it from happening i'd click here and follow the "Subscription" or "Account" steps for all the answers you need.

Thanks for the quick reply ....one might think for a company of this size they ought to have progressed beyond sending an email to clients saying that we are going to charge you in 30 days  (but actually we dont really mean that).

Anyway, your help much appreciated for explaining  this.

Where exactly does it say your subscription will renew on that day? Could you check your subscription page and see if it says the same?

 

If you got charged the 99p, the 3 months should be activated. Just to be sure, could you go through these steps and check if there's a possible second account that might be giving you this notification?

The email receipt says Spotify premium , 90 days,£0.99p (1 Dec)

The account profile says:

Your plan will automatically renew on 3/1/19and you'll be charged £9.99.

Both have the same Username.

The subscription page says:

Your plan will automatically renew on 3/1/19 and you'll be charged £9.99.

 

If I request a new password, only this single user name comes up ?

Thank for the reply! 


Could you check if it's March 1st 2019 instead of January 3rd 2019? We use the American date formatting, so it would make sense. 

 

Can you let us know?

ok..well I finally found out how to make contact with Spotify..they confirm they use American date formatting.

No worries, it's always cool to confirm! Keep in mind that the folks on Community with a Spotify logo next to their name are also Spotify staff 🙂
