Charged for regular subscription and student subscription

Charged for regular subscription and student subscription

I am being charged both $9.99 a month and $4.99 a month. I am a student and only have 1 account and am unsure why I am being charged the 10$ a month on top of what I already pay with the discount. This has been going on for several months and is unfair that I am being charged $15 a month rather than only the $5 I should be paying.

Hey @Sydney28!

Let's make sure you don't have multiple Spotify accounts following these steps.

If you're sure you only have one Spotify account, you can log in here to view all recent receipts and the amount you've been charged for.

Let me know what you find.

Hi,

I am also being charged the student price (5.99) and the regular price (9.99). I renewed my student subscription on the 3rd of Feb this year and paid the fee that day. I was also charged the full fee on the 28th of Feb, and today (3rd of March) was charged the student fee again. I don't know what to do next as I followed the steps above but I only have one account, and my receipts don't show amything about the fact that I got the student subscription in February this year! My bank account shows both payments leaving in February. Not sure what to do now!

Hi there @KG_,

Thanks for joining the thread!

If you're seeing double charges both for an Individual subscription and for a Student plan, you have most likely activated your discount on another account.

You can follow the steps here to try and locate your other account. If you have no success with that, you can reach out to our support team. You can find them here 🙂

Let us know if there's anything else we can help out with.

Cheers!
