Duo/Family plan upgrade campaign issue

Solved!

Duo/Family plan upgrade campaign issue

I am an existing Duo customer, and this evening I got an email from Spotify saying : “ Try Family for the next 2 months (at no extra cost) and go from 2 to 3 or more Premium accounts under one plan.”
When I select to accept the offer and upgrade to Family it says : “ Sorry, you are not eligible for that plan. Here are some other ways to get Premium.”

Any ideas?

Update :

I contacted support and they gave me several things to try, however nothing is working.

Even on a separate PC it still fails to acknowledge eligibility.

  • Logged out/in of my account.
  • Tried via mobile data (5G).
  • Software restart of handset (iOS).
  • Both multi version of iOS (17.0.3) and Spotify client (8.8.78.670) are of the most latest release.

Seems more like an issue from their campaign management side more than anything local.

Tenho o Spotify Duo e mesmo pago está aparecendo anúncios para mim. Não entendo. Alguém pode me ajudar?

Hi @Brenna8,

Thank you for your posts here in the Community. We hope you don't mind us replying in English.

First up, if this is only happening while listening to Podcasts, it's expected. While Spotify doesn’t play ads that interrupt the music listening experience of Premium subscribers, some podcasts may include advertising, host-read endorsements, or sponsorship messages.

However, if you're getting ads even when listening to music, we'd recommend making sure you're logging in with the correct account. Check out this article and follow the recommendations we have there.

Let us know how that goes.

Hi all, I paid for a premium duo subscription and added my wife to it, but she still has ads and a free account.

I can see her in my account.

How to get help here? I can do nothing here in the community apart from commenting

This is interesting, and I hope my comment doesn't derail anything. My comment is tangential to the original question..

It's worth a shot. I'm a Spotify Premium subscriber. About two hours ago, I received a notification while using my Spotify app that for a limited time, I could do a trial phase of Spotify Duo, but I clicked 'no'. I just wanted to get to my music!! It was like a pop-up, and by reflex, I clicked it away. 2 seconds later, I registered what had happened and thought "I would indeed LOVE 2 free trials months of Spotify Duo!! But I've checked everywhere. My account, active subscriptions (for me, Premium), my email. There is nothing. It's hard to believe that saying no to an offer ONE time makes you ineligible to receive that offer. Especially considering, I am a dedicated, full-price paying member of Spotify. Does anyone have any knowledge or experience with things like this, like offers just disappearing and never returning after 1 press of the thumb?? Any advice, most graciously and humbly appreciated!!
