Plan
Duo
My Question or Issue
I'm in the process of upgrading to Family plan from Duo, but i had a few questions of how it worked. I have a plan going for Duo already but don't know what will happen when i sign up for the Family plan. When signing up for the family plan will the time for the duo expire and only have 1 month as if i only subbed for the family plan?
Another question is that a family member that i'm inviting already has a premium account. What will happen to their time left?

Hi @Ricky95,
Thanks for posting in the Spotify Community!
When you change your subscription plan from Premium Duo to Premium Family, your billing will switch automatically, so you don’t need to cancel anything. As the plan manager (the person starting the plan), your new billing date will likely be a few days earlier than usual, in order to cover the price difference between the two plans; you can view your next billing date by logging in to your account page and scrolling to Your plan.
For the other members of your residence that join your Premium Family plan, all payments will be made by the plan manager, and any remaining Premium time that they have with their current Premium subscriptions will be forfeited.
Bear in mind that if you or your family members already have Premium with a partner company (e.g your phone or internet provider), you’ll first need to cancel with them and wait for your (or their) current Premium to end. Also, note that Premium Family members can only switch between different Premium Family or Premium Duo plans once in 12 months.
You can sign up for the Premium Family plan here, and then invite the other members of your residence by following the steps provided in this support article. Also, feel free to read more about how the Premium Family plan works in this Spotify Answer as well as in this Q&A thread.
Let me know if you have any other questions, and have a good day!

Hi @Ricky95,
Thank you for your reply!
When you upgrade your subscription, your plan will immediately switch from Premium Duo to Premium Family. Any remaining time that you've already paid for in your Premium Duo plan will be converted into a Premium Family subscription; as a result, your new payment date will likely be a bit earlier than usual.

Hi. I have premium duo plan. My husband got premium family. I swiched on his family account now. How can I cancel my premium duo. I can't find anything. Thank you
Hi @Zokinakov,
Thanks for posting in the Spotify Community, and welcome!
If you had a Premium Duo subscription prior to joining your husband’s Premium Family plan, it would have been necessary to either cancel the Premium Duo plan (if you were the plan manager for it) or leave/be removed from the Premium Duo plan (if you were a member of it), in order to join the Premium Family plan using your same Spotify account.
In either case, your subscription to Premium Duo would have already been canceled before joining Premium Family.
