My Question or Issue

Like previous month this month too  on 27th Aug i made a payment for Spotify premium via google pay.

The amount was paid successfully and google says that its successfully paid.My bank too confirms the same but Spotify refuses to acknowledge even after providing screenshots as proof nor do they even try to address it.Instead they asked me to contact google pay who clearly washed their hands off and told to talk to bank who in turn wont take any action as the payment was done via  third party app viz., google pay.Google says that spotify has indeed received the money but with spotify behaving weird i am stuck.Dont know how to resolve this.

Let's get started with some checkings first... Please, go to your account overview page and check what is the current status of your plan. I also suggest that you take a look at your receipts page to check if the payment confirmation appears there.

I also would like to ask you to confirm if you really don't have any other Spotify account. If you do, please check those ones too, because maybe you could have bought the Premium for another account.

 

Keep me posted after double-checking those things, please.

I also suggest that you take a look at your receipts page to check if the payment confirmation appears there.

The receipt  shows the last payment made on 18th July which was also via google pay.

I also would like to ask you to confirm if you really don't have any other Spotify account

I only have a single spotify account which is the one i am talking about.

 

It seems that spotify has some problem on its end as the bank and google pay confirms that the amount has been debited and credited to spotify yesterday itself and that the txn was successful.They told me to check with spotify and its due to some bug or with spotifys bank server or something that is causing this issue.

It's me again! Thanks for sharing all those information and just would like to let you know that we removed the screenshots you posted here because they contain some sensitive information.

Well, when it comes to your situation, some payment methods in India can take a longer time (up to 3 business days) to be processed on Spotify side. So I suggest that you wait a little more and if the issue persists, you can come back here and let us know.

I am facing the same issue, the money is debited from my account but i haven't received any messages or anything from Spotify. This is very annoying as we are paying because we don't want any disturbance while listening to songs and if this continues Spotify might/will for sure lose all their genuine premium subscribers

Please help before it's too late

This issue was resolved by escalating at my bank level and sending out a mesagae to spotify head from linkedin.My bank as usual was evasive but then they did return the money after haggling with google...bank and spotify.

Though spotify offered me 3 months dree for this i had denied and specifically asked them to either stop google pay or to mention this risk on the payment page so that users can take decisions accordingly.

Now i understand seeing your comment that did nothing about it.
