My Question or Issue

I had Spotify set to a recurring payment through paypal. Now it says the payment did not go through and if I want to get it going again the paypal option is grayed out. I was already contemplating stopping my subscription for a variety of reason including that I have youtube subscription. Did you just make the choice for me by not accepting paypal any longer? I'm not giving you my card details

It was PayPal for years until the the credit card paying Paypal was compromised. My PayPal is now fixed, but Spotify won't let reset the payment method to PayPal.

Same thing happened to me. PayPal was declined. Never happened before. I looked at my PayPal account and they didn’t even try to take it out this month. We need answers.

Oh, wow. That was quick, paypal is back as an option. Since it took hours instead of years that other problems take, I will renew this time.

For the other users in the thread, could you confirm if things are back to normal for you as well? If not, I’d recommend trying a few basic troubleshooting steps:

  • Use an incognito/private browsing window.
  • Try using a different browser and/or device.
