Price for Kazakhstan

Price for Kazakhstan

I’m just a usual man fro Kazakhstan. Who’s waiting for spotify in CIS area so long. We all were it. Many of my friends, as I, were so happy to see spotify in our region. But.
there is one question I want to know: what is the logic of your regional price for subscribe? Why in KZ we have 5$ for prem sub but in Russia it costs about 2,5$? What is the point? I even don’t discuss about gifting of free 1 month for KZ and 3 month for Russia (honestly, it’s unfair too). But still don’t understand why u decide to do that price for countries.
Your regional economic specialists are bad specialists. Our country and people do not richer than Russia. We have the same financial indicators of people, we do not richer.
I ask you set the same price for KZ that you did for Russia. It’s unfair that we have more expensive price for premium subs, especially when there are many other platforms with cheaper price (apple music, deezer etc.)

Hope you will hear us

Hey there @AdamFromKZ!

Welcome to the community and thanks for reaching out to us.

It's great to hear that you're exited to have Spotify in Kazakhstan and we appreciate your feedback on this.

The price for Premium varies across regions and is based on a variety of reasons.

These can be differences in licensing agreements or other factors that allow us to bring Spotify to a given country in the first place and can be quite different from one region to another.

We always strive to offer Premium at a competitive price and will continue to do so.

Be on the lookout for special offers in your region and even if not using Premium, we hope that bringing our music catalog to people in new places across the world will help everyone discover new tunes and improve their music listening experience.

Hope this shines a bit of light on the matter. We'll be here if you have any other questions.

It's better off to launch in CIS countries when you've dealt with privacy policy and other price-forming factors. Now it's just a scar on Spotify's face here. A regular listener doesn't think of named factors, that's why the cOmPaNy has to before launching

However you're offering double the price of analogues for our country. Apple solved this issue and why you can not?
