My Question or Issue

Spotify charged me an $0.01 authorization to my card, then gave me an error saying the payment method failed, and then did not give me my subscription I paid for. I tried again, and it tried to charge me 8$ (with it very clearly saying 0$ checkout total). Why is it doing this and how can I fix it? Can any staff please message me somehow in a support ticket or something? This is stupid. Trying to switch from Apple Music to Spotify has been such a pain. I can provide proof of payment via PayPal, and Apple Cash. I have the email, PayPal transaction, Transaction ID, etc. Attached is the Apple Cash purchase, and the attempted 8$ purchase

Hey @peretech,

Thanks for coming to the Community.

I recommend making sure that your payment method has sufficient funds (even if you're trying to claim a $0 offer) and meets all of the requirements outlined here.

You can also check out this support article for some info about the pending/authorization charges. 🙂
