Unable to switch from Premium Duo to Family Plan

I had started a Duo Plan but now I'm switching to a Family Plan (which someone else started), I got the invitation and verified the address, but then I got a message saying there was an error to try again later. I've been having this all day.

I've tried this across different devices and browsers but keep getting the same error. Everyone else in the family was able to join just fine, including the person who was previously in my Duo Plan.

That's because you're currently the owner of a Premium Duo plan. Please cancel the subscription and wait for it to end.

Once it has ended, you'll be able to accept the invite 🙂
