Your premium have been stopped and always you open the app music stop. I still have Duo Plan

DUO PREMIUM

Country

FINLAND

Device

Samsung Galaxy S22 Ultra 5G

Operating System

Android 13

My Question or Issue

I have been 7 years continously premium member and now my card details got old and payment didn't go.

I didn't update card details before we changed Duo plan with my girlfriend and she is paying currently.

Now issue is that every time I open Spotify app, this first picture message pops up and tells Spotify premium have stopped and music stops too, but when I close that window everything works fine, because I have still premium but somehow the app or the website doesn't recognise that before I click update payment and then it tells you're already have premium plan?? I'm confused what should I do? I have already reinstalled app, clear caches and everything but because this same issue is up with website too I don't know what to do.

Please help..

Hey @Tonza,

Thanks for posting on the Community about this. It's indeed a bit odd of a situation.

In the case I'd say it would be best to refresh your subscription and start from scratch - you can ask you girlfriend to remove you from the Duo plan and after that you should be given the option to cancel your old subscription from the account page on the website.

Next up you can be added to the Duo plan again and all should be looking well.

Do let us know how it goes and if you stumble upon any issues.

Those pictures are not in order, this is the message that always pops up and stops music.

Yes, now it's working! I already cancelled once that Duo plan, but if I remember right my own premium subscription was there still active but payment method was expired.

Thanks @Elena for quick response, explanation and help!
