is the .99 cents for 3 months of spotify premium for students a lie?

My Question or Issue

 So today I was on my free spotify account and saw an advertisement for spotify premium for students that costs only .99 cents for three months and hulu and some other streaming service is included. I thought that was a great deal so I signed up. Then I got an email saying I've been charged 4.99 for one month of spotify premium (at least it included hulu and the other thing) Is the .99 cent deal just a lie? I tried talking to help but it's just a robot and I couldn't find a customer service number to call. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

hey im experiencing the same problem as them. I click the promotion and it takes me to the student page and the offer is for 4.99

That's weird. I do know that spotify does offer students premium for half the price which is $4.99. I have never heard of the .99 cents deal. But if you paid for something that you though would be .99 cents and they charged you $4.99 maybe try emailing spotify.
