Welcome to the Community and thanks for posting your question here!

 

What type of playlist are we talking about when you refer to the playlist currently featuring the song you removed from Your Library

 

Asking since, to clarify, if the playlist wasn't created by you it won't be possible to edit it and remove the song from it.

It's a playlist i created called "Alarms". I have "liked" and "unliked" it
numerous timrs yet it won't go away. I'm very hesitant to uninstall and
reinstall the app to see if that might help and yes, it is updated
automatically. Thanks for your time.

Just to double-check, since the playlist featuring this song is a playlist that you created, have you already tried to edit the playlist so as to have the track removed from it?

 

There's some useful steps about how to perform this which you can find here under Make your own > Edit a playlist.

 

If, together with removing the song from your 'Liked Songs' by 'unliking' it, you already tried using the Edit playlist feature suggested above, it'd be also worth trying to log out and then back in to your Spotify account to see whether, as a consequence, the account gets updated regarding this edit.
