Adding songs to a downloaded playlist ... do they auto-download?

My Question or Issue

If I have downloaded a playlist, and make changes to it, adding or removing songs to it, do those changes auto-reflect in the download status?

e.g. I delete a song in a playlist, does it remove that song from downloads (freeing up that much space), or if I add a song, will it automatically download?

Your supposition is correct, whenever you make changes to a downloaded playlist, they will be reflected automatically. Meaning that any song you add to the playlist will be downloaded and any you remove will be deleted from your downloads. 

All of this is considering the app is connected to the internet.

This surprises me as I've had problems with newly-downloaded songs to an already-downloaded playlist.

What happens if you are playing a downloaded playlist where there is no internet? I've noticed that songs I add to an already-downloaded playlist while on wifi will not play well where there is no internet. They will freeze or not play at all like they are trying to be streamed.

Any ideas why?

Welcome to the thread!

If the songs have been successfully downloaded, they should play without issues when the app is in Offline mode.

As corrupted cache can cause different issues and a clean reinstall helps with performance issues, I recommend checking out and following the steps in this help article. 

Keep in mind, however, that your downloads will be removed and you'd need to re-download your content afterwards. Before doing so, make sure you've got a stable internet connection.
