Block/remove certain podcasts from my home page

My Question or Issue

Why can't I remove/block podcasts and certain creators from showing up on my homepage permanently? 

For the past 3 years a certain podcast has been front and centre on my home page. 

I either listened to this podcast for 2 seconds or accidentally clicked on it, but now it is stuck on my home page. The guys face on the podcast is very annoying to see.  All I want is to open of this godforsaken app and not be immediately P>I>SS>ED off by seeing some guys little smirk. I do not pay $16 per month to see this guys face every time I open the app. Please add the ability to block/remove certain podcasts or creators. I have read several complaints about the same issue except in these situations children were literally being recommended podcasts about S>E>X, P > O > R > N and other obscene subjects that no child should be exposed to. This is very disgusting of your company and the fact that you don't even help these people is even worse. All you do is simply close the discussion and remove it from other people's sight. 

I have attached a photo of the podcast that has never disappeared from my "Your shows" page. I don't want to see this smug guys face ever again. I literally feel like throwing up every time I see his face. Could one of the Spotify employees actually be useful in solving this problem or should I just cancel my subscription?

The funny thing is your own community guideline removed several words from this post but you can't apply the same concept to your own service. Stop showing kids that use this app podcasts about obscene subjects. For the love of god, I am begging you fix your service.

We understand where you're coming from and understand that it's not ideal to see unwanted recommendations. 

We're afraid that at the moment it's not possible to manually remove podcasts from your home screen. However, we recommend having a look at this idea that asks for the possibility to customize the Home Screen.

You can support the idea by adding your +VOTE , that'll make sure you stay up-to-date with any relevant updates about this. It’s also worth knowing that the higher the number of votes an idea gets, the more likely it is for the idea to be implemented.

On a related note, Spotify is not adding to my "Your shows" page podcasts that I'm following but continues to show there a podcast that I unfollowed a month or more ago. What's up Spotify? Further, that the podcasts not showing up in my "Your shows" page are more "right-leaning" while the one that I unsubscribed from is more "left-leaning" looks a bit suspicious. Finally, like the OP, I think we should be able to have strict control over whether or not "obscene" content appears on our pages. People can listen to what they want but I should have the ability to filter it out if I choose so.
