Bring Back Custom Sorting

Solved!

Bring Back Custom Sorting

I opened the desktop app, and saw Spotify updated. I went to play my playlist like usual, and they weren't sorted like they were before. My playlists were scrambled. I scrolled for 5 minutes before I realized it was sorting by recent. I have different playlists for what I'm doing and that means I dont listen to the same ones on pc and mobile. So I want the ability to sort playlists myself again. They dont need to take away the current options, but a "custom" option would make the app much better.

Hi @lopezboyz and @Luckkci,

Thanks for reaching out to the Community. Heads up: I've moved your posts to the Help board as they fit better here.

In order to access the Custom order sorting option, you need to first set the Filter to Playlists. After that, the option will show up:

  1. In Your Library, set the filter to Playlists.
  2. Set the sort order to Custom order.

You should now be able to organize your playlists the way you see fit.

For more info on the new design of Your Library check out this thread.

Hope this clears things up. Cheers!

Please add that you can make a costumized order of the playlists on the left side since the new update you can only chose between recently added, alphapetic, creator and lastly and that is really annoying.

Sorry for any spelling mistakes I am not a native english speaker.

I'm unable to move playlists in the desktop UI.
There is no "custom" anymore, just by "Creator" which only lets you sort the pinned playlists.

The rest seem to have no option. What's going on?

Apparently, it is no longer possible to sort the order of the playlists, which I need. It was possible before, but now I am stuck with "pinning" playlists, and I can only pin 4. This is not nearly enough, I have a playlist for each decade, so four don't cut it.
What happened? Is it a bug, or did you change it?? You can drag and drop, but after four is "pinned" it no longer works.

Instead of having to sort my saved playlists/Podcasts through the limited options of recent, creator, etc. We should be able to drag/position each saved playlist to wherever we please… The pin feature somewhat provides this but even that is limiting. Furthermore the “New episodes” playlist staying in your library and being unable to change this is infuriating.

I want to manually order my playlists. I used to be able to drag and drop them in the library. That is no longer possible. Recent/recently adde/alphabetical/maker don't do what I want. The "custom order" option has "dissapeared". I'd like to have that option back because I used it a lot.
