Hi there @gmassman,
Thanks for reaching out.
We haven't noticed any such behaviour or received significant reports about this so far. Could you please provide us with some more info, namely the following:
With this information, we’d be happy to investigate.
Keep us posted.
I'm having the same issue and it is becoming more frequent. It started with a random song here and there about once or twice throughout the day. It has just happened about 3 times in the last hour. Getting very frustrating.
It is from a variety of different playlists, so I don't think there is anything wrong there.
I am streaming from a Google Pixel to a Heos stereo.
Hey @Tmcwithey,
Thanks for reaching out and welcome to the Spotify Community!
It'd be great if you can provide all the requested info from @Joan's post you haven't sent yet, especially the device details and the video, so that we can have a closer look and assist you further.
Does this issue occur only when you're streaming to the speaker or also when you're listening on your phone? It's worth performing a clean reinstall of the app if you haven't already, as well as re-pair your phone with your speaker.
Keep us posted.
This is happening to me as well. I am using:
It happens on all sorts of tracks, but I have the impression it doesn't happen in the first 3:00 of a track. I have not noticed it happening on my iPhone.
Hey there @kingz00g,
Thanks for getting in touch about this here in the Community.
Just to confirm, is this only happening when your Mac is connected to the amplifier? If so, does the same happen if you connect your iPhone to the amplifier?
On another note, sending us a short video of the issue happening would come in handy. You can attach it to your next response by using the Insert Video option in the post editor. You can also upload it to Google Drive and share the link with us (make sure the video has the permissions for anyone to see it).
Lastly, could you send us the exact Spotify version your devices' running as well?
We'll be waiting for your reply.
How do you expect us to upload a video of it, when it happens randomly? Random means random. It sometimes goes several hours before it happens, but then sometimes it happens several times in an hour.
I'm not going to just keep my phone recording until it happens.
It doesn't seem to happen when I stream to other devices in our house, which I am wondering if it is a problem with the Denon Heos, especially if the other person is having a problem on the same device. But I also don't have problems if I am streaming other apps like TuneIn or Amazon Music, so it could be the Spotify app.
As I mentioned in my post, I am using Spotify for macOS (Apple Silicon) 1.2.37.701.ge66eb7bc. It doesn't matter whether I am using the Mac or my iPhone. As Tmcwithey noted, I don't see how I could capture a video of the behavior, since it is intermittent and unpredictable. It doesn't seem to happen with other apps like Amazon Music, and it doesn't happen when I stream Spotify to my Alexa Echo.
Hey there folks,
Thanks for your reply and for the info shared.
@Tmcwithey, @kingz00g, we understand where you're coming from, as taking a video might be difficult with such behavior. Nonetheless, if possible, it'd be really helpful for us to better understand what exactly is happening on your side.
On another note, since you mentioned songs tend to end earlier when listening to Spotify while using your Denon Heos, we'd suggest you make sure the firmware of your device is up-to-date.
If you haven't yet, make sure to perform a clean reinstall of the app on your Pixel phone. If this doesn't do the trick, you can try a clean reinstall of the app, so. By doing that, the app can be up-to-date, and you can make sure the cache is not leading to songs ending earlier. You can find out the steps to do it here.
If the above doesn't do the trick, remember to send us the following, so we can continue investigating:
