Can you link two tracks to always play consecutively in shuffle mode?  I see this question has been asked but looks like most the responses are a few years old and maybe the technology has changed.  Often folks want to hear two songs consecutively (ex. We Will Rock You -> We Are the Champions by Queen and Lazy Lightening -> Supplication by the Grateful Dead).  However, they are technically two separate songs so if they are part of a playlist and you listen in shuffle mode, they get split up and do not play in together.  Is there a way to combine the two track so they will always play consecutively (as on song) when listening to a playlist in shuffle mode?  Many thanks.  -fbs2

Hi @fbs2,

Thanks for posting in the Spotify Community!

Unfortunately, there isn’t currently a way to link two tracks in a playlist such that they will always play consecutively when shuffle mode is on.

However, there is currently a Live Idea in the Idea Exchange for this potential feature. If it’s something you’re interested in, I would recommend adding your +VOTE to this idea (even though its current Status is “Not Right Now”). The more votes an idea gets, the likelier it is that Spotify will implement it, and you can read more about how feedback on ideas reaches Spotify here.

Let me know if you have any other questions, and have a good day!

Checking for any updates to this.  Need Pink Floyd Brain Damage and Eclipse together always.

The Load-out & Stay

Evie (Parts 1,2 & 3)

These need to be linked!

Hey AdamDam,

You know your answer is not a solution for the issue. Please do not abuse us. You did not provide a correct solution for this question. Should not have been marked as solved.

AdamDam surely isn't the one you should be berating. I don't even think "Spotify Star" is a job position. You want a solution? Download both songs (or parts) and mix them together in Audacity, then add the sound file to your playlist.

Hey Shmoogis,

Good idea, except that now there's still another shortcoming, not being able to play local files on devices such as Alexa.

I use the free version of Spotify. I would subscribe to the premium version if it had this feature.  Otherwise, it is a half baked platform.

Any info on this? Would be an amazing feature!
