My Question or Issue

I have local mp3 files that I am trying to add to a playlist with other Spotify songs. The local files show up correctly and works fine but when I add them to a playlist they don't show up there even though it says that it's been added. The song immediately drops from the playlist as soon as it's added.

This type of issue is commonly related to some damaged cache stored on your device that might be affecting the proper behavior of the app. So first, we'd recommend performing a clean reinstall of the app by following the steps in this article. This process will replace all damaged files and ensure you're running the latest version of the app. 

 

If the issue persists, would you mind checking on a different device (using your own account) to see if it makes any difference? If you don't have another one available, you can borrow one from a friend or family member to test it out. 


Lastly, include in your next response the Spotify version you're currently running to continue investigating the case.

I have the same problem, except that it only seems to happen in certain playlists. The way local files/local file syncing works seems to completely break every few months on this platform, its crazy.
