Daylist should be named "Daylist"

Daylist should be named "Daylist"

Daylist should be named "Daylist", and not the genre of the current iteration of the playlist

For example, currently the "name" of my Daylist is "rave electro Saturday morning", and not "mellow indie Thursday evening" like it was the last time I played it. This means that if you sort your Playlists alphabetically the Daylist jumps around, making it hard to find

Furthermore, searching your own library for "Daylist" pulls up nothing, so presumably this would take care of that as well

Hey there @Knoughah,

Thanks for reaching out to the Community!

We've gone ahead and moved your idea to our Help board for now. We thank you for taking the time to send over your comments - we appreciate your feedback as it helps inform our decisions going forward.

Now, the Daylist is a playlist with auto-generated descriptor titles based on habitual listening for a given time/day. The playlist tracks and titles can update up to 12x a day, while the playlist covers can change 6x a day. This means it is normal for the name to change each time the playlist is updated.

On another note, on mobile, you’ll always find Daylist located in the Made For You hub or you can simply search 'Daylist' (from the search bar, not Your Library), to bring up the playlist. You can also use this link to find it on desktop and Web Player.

Lastly, if you feel like it, you can submit a new idea, making sure you follow our Community guidelines and taking into account the info provided.

Hope this clears things up. If you have any questions or need anything else, the Community is here for you.

Hey @Knoughah

In the Web Player and mobile app, the Daylist playlist looks like this in the title for me:

"daylist • melodic house chill lounge afternoon"

It has a "daylist •" section before the rest of the title and I am able to search my library for it using "daylist".

The desktop app does not currently have this "daylist •" part in the playlist title, but it should show the same thing in a future update.
