My Question or Issue

Okay, so one of my favorite albums has the lowest volume ever. All the songs of "Disc 3" of album "Frank & Back to black" and all of the songs of album "Back to black deluxe edition". I have the same volume box ticked and everything but this dont help. And it doesnt matter if i listen on my phone or computer or tv or whatever so it has nothing to do with local files or anything either. All the songs from album back to black are low. period. Please help me fix this. I can't use spotify like this.

Hey @nahnah22,

Thanks for posting in the Community and sorry for the delayed reply, we just stumbled upon your post.

The tracks uploaded to Spotify are uploaded just the way we've gotten them from the distributors.

With this in mind, we advise you to contact the distributing label of the songs in question so they can update the tracks provided to us.

Hope this helps,

Cheers!

My Question or Issue:

So, I make and regularly use and update a large number of playlist for use as background music, across devices, at both home and work, for private and public use. One album I truly love and include on a great number of playlists is Richard Einhorn's 1995 "Voices of Light" soundtrack for the Criterion restoration of the film "The Passion of Joan of Arc" .

Like I said, more than a little niche but it's really, really good.

The problem is that it is that absolutely any song from it is easily the quietest track on any playlist I include it on (and frankly I include it on a lot of really massive playlists).

And I mean distractingly quiet. The only settings I can use that actually level it to match the volume of everything else is "Loud" normalization. And I really, really, do not want to use that setting anymore. I literally only use it to make sure this album is properly levelled with every other album that comes up on shuffle. Again, I know that's why that feature is there, but I'd love to be able to turn "Loud" normalization back off while listening to these big orchestral playlists and just reprocessing the base volume of this one album would seriously do that for me. I tried just adding the album locally but even when I re-add it on every device, Spotify still sometimes breaks and saves its not there and refuses to re-add local tracks to albums unless I delete them, clear my cache and re-add them manually. That's another issue, but this one seems more easily fixable.

I know how silly it is to ask for such a specific request on such a little thing but man it would save me so much grief.
