My Question or Issue

When I'm adding songs of specific artist to "Your Library" it's appearing faded (unavailable) only in the android app (I've tried to delete the app, clear catch and etc)  but when I'm adding his songs to any other playlist I can play them (and on the artist page I can play all the songs) . My wife can add and play all songs as usual on the Iphone app.

Thanks for posting in the Community and welcome. 

 

In this case, would you mind sharing one of the songs you mentioned with us? You can do this by following the steps in this article.

 

Just to confirm, can you add one of the songs to a different playlist? When you mentioned you're adding the songs to your Library, did you mean to your Liked Songs playlist? Send us the link to the profile of the specific artist you mentioned, so we can have a closer look.

 

Lastly, keep in mind, it's possible to block artists from the mobile app. It's possible you blocked this artist by accident. So, if you want to check if that could be the case, from your phone, you can go to an Artist profile> the three-dot menu. If you see the option "Don't play this", the artist is not blocked.

Hey it's not a specific songs , it's generally all songs of particular artist , when I'm adding his songs to any other playlist that not "Your Library" (pressing like on the song) they are not faded and I can listen to them, for some reason only when I'm liking the song it's won't play it ..

I've checked and I don't have the three-dot menu in the app I've looked everywhere to check if he's blocked and if that was the case it should be faded in all playlists..

Hey thank for the response but it's not the same issue, it's not happening while I'm offline , as you can see in the screenshots I'm connected to wifi , I've tried to delete the app and re-installed , delete the cache , deleted all the saved songs and this issue didn't resolved .. And it's happening only with this artist ...

I’ve checked on webplayer and on IPhone and they both worked ..

I’ve checked that everything is updated on my phone ,tried to reinstall again and still have the same issue.

Can you please also ask your wife to log into her account on your phone and check if the songs are grayed out?

 

Also, check your phone's settings and make sure that Spotify is set as an exception in any battery- or memory-optimizing services.
