It won't let me scroll to the left to see my other genres, a few weeks ago i could still scroll to see all of them. I have reinstalled and cleared the cache several times.

Hey folks,

Thanks for your posts.

The right folks at Spotify are aware of this issue and are working on a fix. We don't have an exact timeframe for this yet, so we'd recommend keeping your app up to date.

As far as we're aware, this issue is present only on Android devices. Some community members have reported that after updating to version 8.7.6 this issue has been resolved for them.

If you're running this version or newer and still experiencing the issue, can you please let us know:

  • your device model and OS version
  • your Spotify version

This will help the teams working on it.

Cheers!

Hey @Marisol3030,

Thank you for reaching out to the Community and welcome.

We understand you’ve already tried some troubleshooting steps including reinstalling. However, we’d like to suggest a clean reinstall as this is more thorough than a regular one and can be helpful to get rid of any cache that might be causing trouble.

If the issue still persists, would you mind trying on a different device if possible? This could give us a better look at the issue.

We'll be on the lookout for your next response.

Hi so I've also been having this problem at first just couldn't scroll now it's all jumbled up. I've done just about everything clean Uninstall, clear catches and data, I've restarted my phone. I also have a ton of storage so it's not a storage problem.  Can someone please help me out here cause I have no clue what to do.

Also having this problem, did you ever figure it out?

No I'm hoping someone on here knows how to fix it.

Hey, the clean reinstall did not solve this issue. My girlfriend has an iPhone and most current Spotify version and does not have this issue. Perhaps it is Android specific?

Hey, I also have this problem. My device is a Samsung Galaxy S8, Android Version 9. Spotify is a Premium Duo Plan, App Version 8.7.8.1206.

Not working on my Pixel 6 Android 12 either.

Galaxy S21, Android version 12, Spotify version 8.7.10

The problem is continuing. It's interesting because there is a similar menu feature in the "Your Library" window that has "Playlists", "Artists", etc. buttons. This menu seems to function just fine, it scrolls to the left normally. However, in the "Liked Songs" window the genres still don't budge even after a clean reinstall. Thanks again for your help. Obviously it's not the end of the world, but it would be cool if it worked.

I'm having the same issue on my OnePlus 9 Pro with the latest version of Spotify installed. I am a premium user and I use this feature regularly so I hope there's a fix soon. I would also love the ability to filter songs by any keyword or genre.

Not working on my Pixel 6 Android 12 either.

Update: this feature is now working on my phone.

Hey folks,

@naangelo, glad to hear that this is working again 🙂

@areinoza, can you let us know which version of the Spotify app you're currently running?

Cheers.
