I can't sort liked songs by genre

You know how there is a function where you can sort your liked songs by genre, yeah that doesn't show up on my spotify.

• Is this on all devices or only on specific one(s)?
• The exact makes, models and OS/Firmware versions of all your affected devices
• The exact Spotify Versions you use.
• When did this start happening? Did it work before?
• Screenshots or a video of the behaviour

It's the same for all my devices. I have an Ipad pro on IOS 16.3.1 and an Iphone 13 pro also on IOS 16.3.1. The spotify version I use on both devices is 8.8.14. It never worked for me and I'm not sure why. It just doesn't show up even when I scroll downwards in Liked songs.

Thanks for getting back to us. 

As of right now you sorting Liked Songs by genre is a feature that's not available in all markets and doesn't depend on the OS version of your device(s). Apologies for any confusion created on our end. 

As Spotify just launched in some markets, it might take a while for all the features to be available there. We're afraid, we don't know for sure when or if the feature will be available in your market. 

On another note, it seems like the Community folks have already gathered and have created an Idea about organizing your music by genre. If you'd like to see that option available, go ahead and check this idea here. Make sure you give it a thumbs up to support it, so that it would have a better chance of being considered, as Spotify always strives to improve your experience. It's also worth subscribing to that thread to be aware of any updates posted there.

You'll also find all the relevant info about our Idea Exchange and how the Community feedback gets implemented here if you'd like to know more about the topic.

I was able to sort my songs via genre but that gone now I have a iPhone 13 and IOS 16.4.1(a). Do you know why it’s gone?

This press release from 2021 is bragging how this feature was added - why is it removed just two years later? Please stop introducing features then removing them when we finally get used to it.

I can sort my songs on an iPhone 12 mini running iOS 17.2.1 but not on my 2020 MacBook Air running macOS 13.2. Is this feature available on a laptop?

Thanks for posting in the thread!

@Spencerblalock - the feature is not available on desktop devices, however, you should be available to sort by genre on mobile devices in all markets listed on this page.
