My Question or Issue

Hi all!

I realized that all the songs that are included in any of my playlists that I created before ~Dec 2017 are all greyed out and I get the error "Spotify can't play this right now. If you have the file on your computer... etc."

Do you know why? Is it something they do to all users on older content? Or maybe it has to do with rights? Or it is just a problem with my account?

Thanks!

Hello @zirosky

Thank you for reaching out here in the Community!

If the songs are grayed out, that means they're currently not available to play.
This can happen if licensing agreements with the artist/labels, or ownership of rights, has changed. Availability can vary between countries as well.

For more details on availability, check this Support article.

I'd recommend searching for new versions, to check if they possibly were re-added.

I hope that helps!

Thank you! Yes all those songs are available but I have to add them again... what I am afraid of is that I will manually add all these 2000+ tracks, spending hours to do it and in 2 years I will have the same problem!

Hi @zirosky

You're welcome! I'm glad you were able to find them.
