Local files not showing up on Mac

I followed the steps in this guide to get my Crosby, Stills & Nash content I downloaded from Apple Music to show up in my Spotify library and when I try to gert Local Files to show up on the sidebar in Spotify it doesn't. When I try to go to advanced settings and specify a file path for these files to show up, they are greyed out in the file picker and don't show up in my library. https://support.spotify.com/us/article/local-files/
Anyone got an idea why this is happening and how to fix it?

It is also important to keep in mind, that Spotify supports the uploading of songs obtained by legal means, which means that some songs might have copyright protection embedded by the label, which would prevent them from syncing properly.
