My Question or Issue

I am trying to sync a local file from my computer to my iPhone 11. I have edited all the tags on the m4a audio file, including the song cover. I have created a playlist for the song and added it. I can view the album cover clearly on my computer. But when I go to my phone, it is greyed out.

I have made sure that:

  • Both devices are connected to the same network
  • Both apps are updated
  • Space on my phone is available
  • Logging in and logging out on my phone won't solve it
  • I have not reached the maximum download number

Hey @zacharie!

Welcome to the Community! Thanks for reaching out!

Spotify is primarily meant for streaming the Spotify catalog, so not all features are supported for local files. If you want, you can try converting the file to an .mp3 and adding an album artwork in the file's metadata. We recommend using .png or .jpg files for the cover.

Let us know how it goes.

Cheers!

Hello,

I have a problem regarding local files on iOS. All tracks under the AAC format won't show the cover art. Could this be addressed? AAC cover arts show perfectly on the macOS desktop app. I've attached a screenshot.

Thank you!

Daniel
