Anyone else notice that your individualized ‘New Releases’ only shows up
periodically when opening the app? This has been going on for close to 2 years for me and is highly frustrating.
Other times it appears and then suddenly disappears?
This is obviously another glitch Spotify needs to fix ASAP. We pay for an app that is expected to perform and not **bleep** out periodically.
Hey @Spmeehan33,
Thanks for reaching out!
The Home screen is dynamic, so at times the elements shown there can vary.
The 'New Releases' section can still always be located under Search -> 'New Releases' 🙂
Hope this helps! We're here for you should any further questions come to mind.
This is not accurate. Doing a search for ‘new releases’ does not yield MY new releases. The feed I am referring to is ‘New Releases for You’ (see pic 2), that shows up based on my bands followed.
The search you reference will only bring up a generic option for new releases and is not specific to my preferences or bands followed (See pic 1).
Thanks for the screenshots, @Spmeehan33.
One more way to view the new content is by going to Search > Discovery > New releases for you or via going to Home > click on your profile photo on the top left corner > What's new (you can filter between music and podcasts & shows).
On another note, Spotify is constantly testing new features and changes and that's why sometimes certain things can be missing/changed. If you'd like you can create a new idea on the relevant idea board - we always take new ideas and feedback into consideration to improve the app. Here you can read more on how ideas work.
We also suggest checking this help article for useful tips on how to submit an idea. As a heads-up, it's good to know that the higher the number of votes it gets, the more likely it is for the idea to be implemented.
Cheers 🙂
Yes what in the hells name is happening, di we have to cancel the sub?
It was there but has been missing for a few months. Please bring this feature back.
Was looking forward to spending the morning browsing through new music but of course once again Spotify is programmed in such a way that we aren't allowed to have nice things. It is unbelievable how much time I spend on these forums every week trying to figure out what has been changed for absolutely no reason whatsoever other than seemingly to irritate me. And no, for the 4th time I am not a robot.
That's it, just bring back the new releases for you feature. I don't care about your editors suggestions/options.
Hey there you, Yeah, you! 😁 Welcome - we're glad you joined the Spotify Community! While you here, let's have a fun game and get…
