My Question or Issue

I've found it's impossible to locate the Offline Backup playlist on the Spotify desktop app on MacOS. I've saved the playlist to my library on the iOS app and even pinned it to the top of my library on the iOS app but Offline Backup does not show up on the desktop app.

I uninstalled the Spotify app on both desktop and iOS to make sure both apps were up to date and the Offline Backup playlist disappeared completely from the iOS app. It appears that the Offline Backup playlist is only stored locally on a single device and does not actually get saved to your library, even if you select "Save to Your Library" or even if you pin it to the top of your library.

It may show up temporarily in your library on iOS or Android but it could disappear at any time and it does not show up at all on the desktop app. It seems like this should show up on desktop so you can listen when you're offline on desktop as well as on mobile, and you should be able to save the playlist for both desktop and mobile so it's possible to find it later.

Hey there @jacob4567

Thanks for getting in touch about this here in the Community.

We're afraid this feature is not currently available on the desktop app, only on mobile phones, Android Auto, and CarPlay. We appreciate you taking the time to share your feedback with us and will make sure to pass it onto the right team, as we always strive to improve your experience.

If you'd like to have it on the desktop app as well, you can have a look in our Idea Exchange to see if someone else has already made a similar suggestion. If there isn't one, you can give these steps a go and submit your idea so that other users can also support it. The higher the number of votes an idea gets, the more likely it is for it to be implemented.

Also, you can read more about how your feedback reaches Spotify here.

Hope this clears things up. If you need a hand with anything else, the Community is here for you.
