My Question or Issue
One of my playlists has just disappeared. I could have sworn I created a playlist full of songs, which I even played a few times after creating, but I can no longer find it. I checked my deleted playlists and it isn't there, so I apparently haven't accidentally deleted. It's only that one playlist. Everything else seems to intact. I don't think it violates any rules, and even if it did, I received no notification that it has been taken down. I also haven't switched plans. The only thing I've done is update the app yesterday. How do I recover my playlist?

Hi @Lisztomaniac1,
Thanks for the info.
We were not able to locate the playlist from our end and we see the band has a Spotify-created list presenting their songs here: https://open.spotify.com/playlist/37i9dQZF1DZ06evO2DOkoa?si=78471db64a8740c6
You might have seen a mix created for you based on your recent listening to Polyphia on your Library landing page.
The best way forward with this situation would be to create a new playlist with songs from the band.
Cheers.
Hey @Lisztomaniac1,
Thank you for reaching out to the Community and welcome.
If a playlist is no longer available in your library, it's possible that you've created it with a different account by mistake.
In this case, as an account can be created with a Facebook profile, a Google/Apple account, or a phone number, we'd first recommend trying out these other methods to see if you can find it. We'd also recommend looking for it by using the Search option with the name of the playlist.
However, if you cannot find it on a different account and it's not available on the Recover list, it's possible that it was deleted more than 3 months ago and it's no longer available to recover.
Hope this helps. If anything else comes up, don't hesitate to ask.
Hi!
Thank you so much for your swift reply!
Nope, that can't be possible. I have only ever had one account, and that is definitely the only one I've ever used. Since I'm using the mobile app, I don't log in regularly. Once I log in, I never log out.
Besides, I had liked one of the songs while creating the playlist, and that clearly shows up in my Liked Songs.
Nevertheless, I just double-checked by trying my Facebook profile, Gmail account, alternate email, and phone number, and no such second account exists.
I did try looking up the name of the playlist as you suggested, but there are too many playlists with the same name. It was just the name of the band.
It was also not deleted 90+ days ago. It was created on either the 16th or 17th of July, and even if it was deleted after, 90 days haven't passed. I have a record of telling someone that I just discovered those songs.
Is there anything else that could have occurred?
Another question: Has the history button been removed in the latest update? I can see the Recently Played option, but that only shows a list of the albums and playlists I listed to recently, not the songs. I loved how the history option used to show which specific songs where played on each day, and I thought that was a pretty good feature especially when I listen to something new by accident, and can't remember the name of the song. I also think having that now would have helped me double-check the playlist situation I have here.
Thank you once again!
Hey @Lisztomaniac1,
Thanks for the reply and the steps tried so far.
What was the name of the playlist?
On the last question: We're constantly trying to improve the user experience on our platform and are making incremental changes to the UI and the features of the app. Some of those changes are available only to certain users and you may have gotten one of those changes.
Hope this clears things a bit.
Cheers!
Hi!
Thank you for your prompt reply again!
The name is "Polyphia". It has a bunch of songs by a band with the same name.
Ah okay, that makes sense!
Thanks a lot!

Hello,
Thanks again for replying and attempting to find it!
Oh, I manually added those songs to the playlist, so it couldn't have been a mix generated for me. I only added the ones that I liked, and the next time I played it, I was able to enjoy the ones I wanted to listen to again.
Although it seems like something bizarre happened. Perhaps I was completely hallucinating. I'm still really confused, but I'm sorry to have wasted your time. I'll just create a new playlist for it.
Thank you for your efforts! I really appreciate how I was offered multiple good suggestions and also how fast your responses were.
Have a great day!
