Dear Spotify!
I keep getting emails that my playlist name and image are being deleted.
Every time I put the name and image back, it gets deleted again after a few minutes.
The email says:
“Hello,
We have found the following content to be in violation of our content policies, and we have removed it. Please see our Spotify Terms and Conditions of Use for more information.
- my Spotify playlist code -
Regards,
Spotify”
I'm a Premium Spotify user for years, and I invite thousands of people to use the Spotify app with my playlist.
I didn't do anything that broke the rules.
Why Spotify keep deleting my Playlist's name and photo?
I humbly and kindly ask for an explanation of what happened and why it happened and a solution!
Thousands of people can't find my playlist because of the Takedown.
Sincerely,
Garcia
The image you're using might have some sort of copyright or licensing that Spotify is not allowed to use on their platform. I'd recommend finding another image.
My car can be seen in the picture, so that shouldn't be a problem.
By the way, I tried to upload several pictures, but they were all deleted.
Every time, and it’s so annoying.
I don’t want to use another application for my playlist, but Spotify doesn’t let me use their application without problems.
Please help me to solve this issue!
Thank you for your reply, kawaru_bloodpaw!
Did the title or description contain anything that might be considered offensive?
I'm not up-to-date on Spotify ToS, so I guess I'll see if I can find anything in there.
No, absolutely no. The tittle is “Cruising With Lolita”. It's because my car's nickname is Lolita. That’s it.
There’s nothing wrong with that tittle. Especially since a lot of Spotify users use the word “Lolita” in their playlist name.
And I tried to use another tittle, like “Cruising With Garcia”, but it was also immediately deleted.
The tittle of the playlist will not be the problem here.
There will be a problem with something that is malfunctioning in the system.
Is this you?
Yes, it’s me.
Spotify deleted the name and picture at least 30 times today.
I keep putting it back right away, so that my followers can find the playlist.
I’m promoting the playlist on several social media sites, which is why the number of likes is constantly increasing.
That's why the name and picture are important so that people can find the playlist.
Serioulsy, I motivate people to download the Spotify app… Stop deleting my things.
Hey, @garcillac do you have your PMs turned on? I found something, but I'm not sure if I should post it on this public forum.
Yes, you can send me PM. Thank you!

Well, sorry I wasn't able to help much. Support might have some more details, but I have no clue.
Hey @garcillac,
From what I'm seeing the issue either lies with the informal meaning of the word cruising (although I doubt that) or it has to do with the popularity of the playlist and the abusive reporting trends that are being observed lately (usually done by people who feel like your direct competition). You're not the only one affected by this behaviour and I'm definitely not a fan of this practice either.
What I'd advise is leaving your vote to this Live Idea. If you feel like it you can also share it with others 🙂
The faster it gathers votes - the better.
Many thanks!
P.S. Please don't get too upset over this & if possible - be patient.
As soon as the Idea gathers enough heat, it will be prioritized by the internal teams of Spotify.
Hey @Vasil !
One hundred percent that there is no problem with the “Cruising With Lolita” name.
Last night I renamed it to “Garcia’s Playlist” and after a few minutes it was deleted again.
But! As night came, the Takedowns stopped.
This means our anonymous friend stopped reporting and probably asleep.
Unbelievable and very sad that they can do it with us.
Thank you Vasil, I will leave my vote!
I’ve just had the same thing. Thought it might have been because it was called “RnB **bleep** Jams” so I changed the title to simply “RnB”. Takedown notice again. Changed the image to a picture of an artist. Takedown notice again. Changed the image to a literal black square. Takedown again. All within half an hour. This is an absolute joke and seems to have no recourse, explanation, anything. Is this automatic? Is this malicious? This playlist is nearly a decade old and has close to 2000 followers.
Ok, so the “bleep” there is simply “s-x” and was never a problem before.
Usually, if a playlist is removed automatically, it is because the image, title, or description goes against the Spotify Platform Rules.

Since your playlist has been up for a while with no problems, I would assume this is a case of false reporting as @Vasil mentioned above.
I also recommend voting for this Idea post. This post is already popular, and the more votes it gains the faster it will be prioritized.
