My Question or Issue

My playlist has disappeared! I can see it in recents but it is greyed out. When I tap on it, it says "this content isn't available right now". How can my entire playlist which I saved and downloaded, just disappear from my phone!?!??!

Hey @Luca715,

Thanks for reaching out!

Is the same issue present across multiple platforms e.g. on a desktop app or the Web Player? In case it's not, this might be a locally present issue on your mobile device, in which case you can try the below-mentioned troubleshooting steps:

Spoiler

First off, I'm wondering if you might be in Offline mode? If yes, I'd suggest going to Settings -> Playback -> Offline to toggle it off so that the playlist can get an online refresh. If this doesn't help, try logging out and back in to the app twice in a row to trigger a manual sync of your data.

In case the issue remains, your cached data might be corrupted. It's a good idea to reset it by following the steps here. Taking things a step further, you can also go for a complete clean reinstall of the app. Note that this will remove your offline content and you'd have to re-download it after this.

Should none of these help out and in case the issue is present across multiple platforms, it might be playlist-related or account-related. Could you let us know if the playlist in question has been created by you or somebody else? If it's the latter, it might have been taken down or changed.

I hope that these troubleshooting steps will resolve the issue for you but do keep us posted on how things go.
We'll be on the lookout for your reply in case we need to look further into this. Many thanks!

Are you new to the Community? Take a moment to introduce yourself!

It was created by a previous account which I deleted. But I saved and downloaded the playlist,

Hey @Luca715

Thanks for the clarification.

Keep in mind that after an account gets closed, the account's owner can reactivate it within the following 7 days. After those 7 days, the account cannot be reactivated and the process to delete data will be initiated, this includes playlists, Liked songs, etc.

Taking this into account, if that account was closed, but you followed the playlist from your account or downloaded it previously, it should be visible for a couple of weeks more until the information is removed from the database completely.

In these scenarios, if you'd like to pass the content from one account to another, you can transfer it easily by following these steps. If you closed the account recently, you can reactivate it with the link you received in the email you should have received after closing it and follow the aforementioned steps to recover your playlist.

Hope this clears things up. If you need a hand with anything else, the Community is here for you.
