My Question or Issue

When I search for podcast I want to Follow on the mobile app, the Follow button doesn't work. In my Library, it only shows and adds the podcasts I've been following for a long time. I'm able to Follow the podcast via the web player, but those don't show in my Library. However, on the app, on the home page, where it shows "New Episodes", it shows the new podcasts I added via the web player. Plus, everything loads really slow. This is the only app I have this speed issue with. I've cleared the data and cache, re-installed many times. Still does the same thing.

Hi @djkfresh,

Thanks for the info.

Try disabling any sort of hardware and battery optimization for Spotify and check if the app has all permission allowed on your phone. This could be hindering it from syncing in real time.

Another thing you can try is to open both the phone and Desktop app at the same time and see what happens if you follow a Podcast for example.

This sound like the issue is related to the phone itself. To test this would it be possible for you to log in on the phone of a friend/family member and see if the results are the same.

Keep us posted 🙂

Hi there @djkfresh,

Thanks for reaching out about this in the Community!

Can you let us know if this is happening on Wi-Fi or Mobile data, as well as if you've tried accessing your library from the Desktop app or another device? Do you get the same sync issues?

Your content might load slower if you have a very big library with thousands of songs/playlists.

We'll be looking forward to your reply.

It happens on both wifi and mobile data. I can access my full Library on
the web player through Chrome browser and the Flex device though Xfinity.
Its just the mobile app that does this.

I got it working again. I think once I switched the storage back to the
internal device storage and then re-installed the app, that fixed it.
Thanks for your help.
