Random Artist is being added to Playlists

Random Artist is being added to Playlists

I have a premium account, and a large percentage of my personal playlists are having songs added by an artist named A.K. These songs are added and are always the second song in the playlist. Its only this one artist and I don’t know how to prevent it. None of the playlists are collaborative, making them secret doesn’t work, and I’ve already tried logging out everywhere. I’ve tried muting the artist, and I can still see that their songs are being added to my playlists.

Hi Slamalama,

I’m sorry to hear that someone has gained access to your Spotify account and is adding tracks to your playlists. I recommend first resetting your password for your Spotify account (it’s best to use a complex password, and to choose a different one for each service that you use; you can read more about that here); and for maximum security, it’s best to open the password reset page in a private/incognito window of your web browser.

Next, sign out from all devices by logging in to your Spotify account, opening the account page, scrolling down to “Sign out everywhere,” and clicking on the button there.

Next, I strongly recommend that you change the password for your email or Facebook that is connected to your Spotify account.

Let us know if you still need help, and have a good day!
