My Question or Issue
I lost certain MP3 files on my PC and I'm unable to listen them using the desktop app. I can listen to them on my iPhone, but I am wondering if there is a way to recover the lost files or somehow listen to them on desktop.

Hi there @Ishvone,
Thanks for your reply.
Just to check, you checked and the tracks are stored on your computer's storage? If they're not, you can upload them from your iPhone to your PC by following the steps on this article from the Apple Support page.
In case the tracks are already saved on your PC, go to the app's Settings and disable the option Show Local files, then scroll down to Storage and select Clear cache. Once done, restart Spotify and turn the Local files back on.
Let us know how that goes.
Hi @Ishvone,
Thanks for reaching out!
Could you check the sources for your local files in the desktop app's settings to see if everything is set properly there? In case the .mp3s have been deleted from your storage, you can upload them back from your iPhone to your PC. If the songs are greyed out in your playlists, try removing them and adding them back from your PC - this will force a resync of the app.
Let us know how it goes.
Hi Yordan,
I have checked the sources in the desktop app's settings and everything seems to be correct. How would I go about uploading the files back from my iPhone to PC to force a resync?

Hi @Susan_GP
You're a lifesaver and I was able to recover all of my files; albeit one file not syncing but still did the job!
I appreciate your & @Yordan help!
That's great to hear @Ishvone, thanks for letting us know 🙂
